📣 Reach iOS Developers
If you build a tool that solves a developer problem, I would love to help you reach iOS developers - hi@iosdev.tools
🛠 Sponsor - Setapp
Setapp is an app subscription service for apps for Mac and iOS. More than 240 apps available on Setapp help users tackle daily tasks like editing, design, time and money management, coding, writing, working with multimedia, and device maintenance.
Under one subscription, users get dozens of apps they can install and use without paying for each one individually. Setapp is an intelligent way to get apps for users who want to save money on subscriptions and time on app research, vetting, and management. Among Setapp apps are CleanMyMac X, Bartender, iStatMedus, TypingMind, Permute, Ulysses, CleanShot, ClearVPN, and many others.
RunCat
RunCat is a cat that runs in your menu bar. Depending on your CPU usage this cat will speed up or slow down to show you if your Mac is under load.
So now you can see in a fun way how your Xcode build is taking up all resources.
You can check CPU usage, Memory performance, Battery state, Storage capacity, and Network connection.
Why you will like it:
Choose your animation (28 animal type runners).
Quick access to detailed information.
Select what to show or hide in the menu bar.
Porcupine
Porcupine is an always-listening tool that allows detection for specific words. For example, you want to create a cooking app that allows your users to say “Hey Chef, next page”.
Porcupine could help you bring this to life. Train it to listen to certain phrases and then integrate it using their mobile SDK.
Why you will like it:
On-device processing.
Try it out in the browser.
Generous free tier for hobby projects (becomes more expensive for larger projects).
Kodemo
Kodemo is an open source tool for creating more engaging code tutorials, walkthroughs and documentation.
Documents can be created and shared in the cloud on Kodemo, or you can integrate it with your own app using the Kodemo/player package.
Why you will like it:
Linking pieces of text directly to code files.
Code files can be animated in steps while scrolling, i.e. highlight the first line, then highlight the second line, etc.
Code diff support between steps.
