iOS Dev Tools: GQLSwift, ScreenPlace, BuildWatch
The best tools at your fingertips.
Hello! 👋
I would like to share something you might find valuable.
My friend Simonas and I launched a 100% FREE invoicing tool called - Invcly
Nothing super fancy, just a simple invoicing tool that allows you to send and track invoices. The main reason we built it is because I was tired of paying $20 a month for invoicing software, paying extra for features, for more saved clients, and other upsells. Companies always find ways to charge you more.
With Invcly, you can:
📌 Create and track invoices.
📌 Save clients.
📌 Create and save templates.
📌 Send recurring invoices (still in beta).
📌 Create different products.
And most importantly, it’s always FREE. No hidden fees or hard paywalls (you know what I’m talking about).
Feel free to use it, share it with friends, and most importantly, send me an email with any bugs or features you would like to see.
Enjoy, and let’s make invoicing simple and free! 🧾
GQLSwift
SwiftPM build-tool plugin that generates Swift code from your GraphQL operation files at build time.
No scripts, no manual steps, no network calls.
Why you will like it:
It runs automatically as a Swift Package Manager build plugin during compilation, eliminating the need for custom run scripts, manual generation steps, or network dependencies.
The plugin recursively scans your project for *.graphql files and automatically inlines fragment definitions into each operation document.
It bundles your operations into a single, structured GQLOperations Swift file that provides easy, type-safe access to operation names, types, and document strings.
If you happen to have duplicate operation names across your project, the plugin automatically renames the generated Swift structures to keep your project compiling smoothly.
ScreenPlace
It remembers exactly where every window should be on your Mac and automatically puts it back in its place.
Why you will like it:
Badge stays close to your windows, letting you snap them back to their saved size and position with a single click.
Group windows by project and instantly switch between workspaces from the menu bar or with a keyboard shortcut.
Save exact window dimensions as a template and apply them to any window across apps and workspaces in just a few clicks.
Save a unique layout for every display setup you use, and ScreenPlace automatically applies the right one the moment you connect.
BuildWatch
Gives a clear dashboard to track workflows, detect failures, and understand build status across Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
Why you will like it:
Instantly understand what's running, failing, or slowing down - without opening Xcode.
Pinpoint failing steps, inspect logs, and fix issues faster with a clear execution timeline.
Monitor workflows, branches, commits, and durations with a clean, developer-friendly interface.
See build status changes the moment they happen across all your workflows.
Understand exactly why a build failed with structured logs and step-by-step timelines.
Designed from the ground up to integrate with Apple's CI/CD infrastructure.
