📣 Reach iOS Developers
If you build a tool that solves a developer problem, I would love to help you reach iOS developers - hi@iosdev.tools
🛠 Sponsor: Runway
With Microsoft sending App Center off to the big deleted server in the sky, you may soon need a new build distribution platform. Runway’s Build Distro lets you seamlessly share WIP builds as early and as often as you want, with whomever you want, using branch-based, PR-based, team-based, or even dedicated personal “build buckets” for everyone on the team.
Chime
Chime is a native-built macOS Editor, with a philosophy of less is more. Built with a minimalist UI, this editor aims for focus and productivity.
With the latest release of Chime 2.0 with support for 23 new languages, support for extensions and many more.
Why you will like it:
For the large part, this editor is open source, you can check it out here.
It has a command-line tool and quick open with fuzzy matching.
Parse Platform
The Parse Platform allows you to build applications faster with object and file storage, user authentication, push notifications, a dashboard and more out of the box.
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. You can find the source on the GitHub repo.
Why you will like it:
You can deploy and run Parse Server on your infrastructure.
You can develop and test your app locally using Node.
Parse provides SDKs for GraphQL API, iOS, Android, JavaScript, .NET + Xamarin, macOS, Unity, PHP, Arduino, Embedded C, Cloud Code and REST APIs.
Veertu
Veertu ephemeral macOS virtual machines (VMs) are a useful tool for iOS continuous integration (CI) testing. These VMs allow developers to run tests on macOS operating systems without the need for physical hardware.
It can run on on-premise Macs, managed Macs, or Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 Mac instances, and are specifically designed for use in CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) environments.
Why you will like it:
Veertu ephemeral macOS VMs can also be used to proactively detect security vulnerabilities in the CI/CD environment.
Ephemeral macOS VMs are a convenient way to run macOS for iOS development and testing and are useful for ensuring the quality and security of software being built and deployed.
