👉 If you have some interesting tools you would like to share with iOS Dev Tools audience, let us know at hi@iosdev.tools!
OmniPrompt
OmniPrompt is a new open-source GPT companion app. If you're already a subscriber to ChatGPT-4, did you know that using the API can save you a lot of money? OmniPrompt is a small tool that lives in your menu bar. With a simple shortcut, it can be opened from anywhere, enabling you to start querying GPT-4 immediately.
The advantage of this tool is that you no longer need to navigate to ChatGPT or locate that specific tab, saving you a significant amount of time and notably speeding up your workflow. Still in its early stages, this tool is seeking talented iOS developers to contribute and help enhance it, potentially you?
Why you will like it:
It's open-source and actively seeking contributors to make it even better.
It utilizes the API, saving you a considerable amount on your ChatGPT subscription cost.
It uses shortcuts to streamline your workflow.
Unlike most web view wrappers surrounding ChatGPT, OmniPrompt is natively built.
Xcodes
Xcodes is open source so that the entire world can benefit from faster and easier downloading of Xcode. Developed by Matt Kiazyk. It's one of the easiest ways to download, install and switch between multiple versions of Xcode.
Contributors from around the world have localized Xcodes to (currently) 14 languages. Experiments with other open source libraries have allowed the unxipping process to be up to 70% quicker!
Why you will like it:
Using aria2 Xcodes can use up to 16 connections to get you working faster.
Xcodes CLI provides an easy way to manage your Xcodes for those that fancy the keyboard.
Automatically resumes installs if network errors.
Dark/Light Mode supported
Rollbar
By using Rollbar SDK for iOS, you can track and analyze errors that occur in your native iOS applications as well as trace them to backend services.
It also tracks the environment the error is coming from, the server that generated the error, and the user’s session data so you can quickly assign ownership of errors to your team and track when they are fixed.
Why you will like it:
Rollbar SDK for iOS lets you track and analyze errors in real time.
It automatically collects all the data you need to track, replicate and debug an iOS error, presented in ways optimized for debugging speed.
With Telemetry, you can debug client-side iOS errors faster. It works like a black box recorder, but for tracking and logging errors.
