Codye
Codye is a code snippet tool built for the day to day. If you are showing code outside of your IDE, Codye is there to help.
It can highlight code in more than 100 programming languages and comes with 100+ built-in themes, plus the ability to create your own. You can then export to PNG, JPG, HTML, and even RTF for some impressive Keynote presentations.
Why you will like it:
It is always ready to go thanks to being a native macOS App.
It has keyboard shortcuts to navigate the app and customise your code.
It allows creation and import of custom themes with a visual editor.
It saves presets so you can get to a certain theme, background and window presentation.
It can be automated thanks to its macOS Shortcuts integration. This means opening the door for CLIs, Raycast automations and much more.
DisplayBuddy
DisplayBuddy lets you control the real brightness of your monitors directly from your Mac or PC – no need to touch the clunky buttons on your monitor.
Why you will like it:
Control the real brightness, contrast & even the volume of your external displays.
Save display settings across multiple displays and restore them later with a single click.
Manage all your displays at a glance from the same app.
Create custom keyboard shortcuts to control your displays.
Works great on all Macs and macOS 10.13+, including macOS Big Sur, Monterey & Ventura.
Backup Status
Backup Status introduces a widget for your Mac, allowing you to view the status of Time Machine right from your desktop or Notification Center.
Amongst others, it displays when the last backup has been made, disk usage, and whether the backups are encrypted. It also provides a warning if no backup has been made recently. You can configure the backup disk to use multiple widgets for different backup disks.
Why you will like it:
Be in control of your Time Machine backups by instantly seeing their status on your desktop or Notification Center.
Backup Status shows when the last backup has been made and other details, such as disk usage.
Add multiple widgets for different backup disks by configuring the backup disk per widget.
